Let's start with my family...

Okay, so I really just wanted to show us off a little more, because like - LOOK HOW ADORABLE WE ARE!

For real, I love that this is my life, that I get to shape her life, hopefully for the best. That I get to live out my life with the one I love and enjoy our time together is something I will never tire of.

I can't believe that I get to spend my days with my favorite people and create memories that will stay with us for a lifetime. I hope to share that with you.

Super cute?

AREN'T WE

Every photographer talks about how they "married their best friend". And I'm no different. Dustin (or as I call him by his middle name, Kyle) is my truthfully, my best friend - the man who brings me back down to Earth when I float away, who makes me laugh so hard that I snort and the man who knows exactly how to remind me of all of the good in this world.

We've been together for 10 years and it seems to have flown by in a blink. He's my really hot roommate, who is obsessed with history and I cannot wait to see us grow old together.

Have you ever met someone and you just KNOW that they are one of the coolest cats you'll ever get to spend time with? That's my kid. She's the silliest billy in the land and pretty fuckin' cute if I do say so myself.

She's the perfect mix of her father and myself, and I cannot wait to watch her grow up - I hope that she's kind, funny, full of grace and every bit the warrior this world can handle.

THIS IS

Another moment of magic that I spent my whole life dreaming that I would one day be able to see. The chance to see the lights dancing in the sky, in almost a lyrical sense made me feel as if I could be in the stars too.

I saw them in Iceland in late 2015, and it was more mesmerizing than I dreamed it could be. Like look at the photo! HOLY SHIT - it was AMAZING.

AND I CAN'T FORGET ABOUT THE

Okay, that's a random thing to start with but I wanted to share some of the things that I LOVE. And look, my favorite Disney film is Tangled - can you guess why? Yes, it's the lantern scene! I literally cry every time (not an exaggeration,) I see it on screen and I can promise you, seeing it in real life is just as magical.

Lantern festivals are one of those tiny moments where everyone in the area is just as excited for a tiny glimpse of magic, and by god, they are some of the most enchanting events I've ever been apart of.

I firmly believe stories and books are one of life's little magic tricks. The imagination of J.K. Rowling is something that I will always be grateful to spend time in.

That little boy in the closet, who was a hero in every sense of the word - he's who I look up to, who I aspire to remember in times of heartache and this world inspires me to look for just a little more life whenever I can.

I LOVE

In case you were curious, here are some things I love

First off, you should know that I am obsessed with the idea of drawing but I can't draw to save my life.

Didn't expect that, did you? If you're looking for the "fluffy" bio that goes into detail about what you can expect from my work, and why I do what I do, that was on the last page. This page is all about me, my family and my life. The things I love and the quirks of my personality. Frankly, I'm a pretty weird egg but that's okay! I hope that you'll glean a little more into what makes me tick and maybe we'll find that we have something in common.

I grew up in the middle of nowhere in Texas, and attended college at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico and before moving and graduating from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a degree in English Education with a focus on Willam Shakespeare. While I was in university, I worked as a freelance journalist and photographer and I quickly learned that although I loved teaching, I was an artist through to my core. That translated into a photography career that has lasted more than ten years and has allowed me to capture countless people, families and couples in their sweetest moments.

I'm a tattooed, Doctor Who loving, Pokemon Go playing, Harry Potter obsessed 30-something and I freaking love my life. I love my family and I would love to introduce them to you, look on down below to learn more about us.

So hello again, I'm Julie...

This isn't so much a dislike, it's more of a preference for when I'm jamming out in my car, but I'm adding it to the list.

When I'm driving, the volume of the car stereo HAS to be on an even number, it's the only way to properly enjoy my tunes. Preferably somewhere in the range of "not going to ruin your hearing but a slight ringing noise may occur when you turn it off."

But not when my kid is in the car with me of course. It's too late for my hearing but I'll do right by hers.

the volume dial being on an odd number

OH MAN, I REALLY DISLIKE

"Hold up, you don't like money?!" Are you insane, Julie?!

NO. Money is the tits. What I'm talking about  is the physical feeling of crisp bills, like fresh from the bank. I can't explain it but the feeling of it literally grates my nerves and makes me want to throw up. So I will quickly crumple them and smooth them out so that I can still use it but I don't have to suffer through the hated feeling.

But like, I'm never gonna say to money, THAT would be insane.

More specifically, the sound of writing on a chalkboard - look, that grating, high pitched noise? IT'S THE WORST.

You could probably thank all of the horror films that I watched in the 90s for making me hate that sound, and subsequently, chalkboards.

Plus the dust?! No thank you!

AND CAN WE TALK ABOUT

brand new, crisp, fresh, dollar bills

I DETEST

And what the hell, why not? Here are somethings I DON'T like...

Yeah, I didn't put any photos of those things up, that's how much I hate them
